Are there public restrooms available at the beach and the Malecón?

There are limited public restrooms (bathrooms) available along the Malecón and at some beaches in Puerto Vallarta. On the Malecón, you can find a paid restrooms near Los Arcos Amphitheater. It’s advisable to plan accordingly and utilize restrooms in nearby establishments or public areas before heading to the beach.

Most public restrooms require a fee to enter (usually around 10 MXN).  Some are attended and may provide change, however if you anticipate needing one it is best to have coins available. 

Facilities are generally well-maintained, but it’s a good idea to have some toilet paper or tissues on hand, as supplies can sometimes be limited.

Many beach clubs and restaurants along the shore also have restrooms, but they may require you to be a customer.
