Do I need a Visa to visit Mexico?

Travelers from the United States and Canada can enter Mexico without a visa for tourism. They must register using the Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM), which is now mainly electronic. Upon arrival, travelers can either go through a traditional immigration checkpoint (passport stamped, FMM available as a PDF) or use an electronic kiosk (no stamp, but a printed ticket as proof of entry). This ticket is essential for departure. Temporary and permanent residents should avoid using kiosks, as it could mistakenly register them as tourists and jeopardize their residency status. They must present their residency card to an immigration officer at a traditional checkpoint. Despite rumors, there have been no changes to American entry rules—just updates to processing methods.
