Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, Waleska grew up surrounded by rhythm, movement, and culture. In her hometown, music is part of daily life and school curriculum—children grow up learning to dance salsa and merengue, and Waleska was no exception. She joined dance troupes, school choirs, and musical groups from a young age, developing a deep love for performance that began with her first time on stage at age 8.
By the time Waleska was 14, she was cast in a local youth TV show as a dancer and host, which sparked her desire to pursue a professional artistic career. From there, she began taking formal dance and vocal training, eventually studying at the vocal school Entre Voces under José Ángel García. She also trained with renowned Venezuelan choreographers Gerdis Zambrano and Rider Pereira, which led to work as a professional dancer and singer in various musical groups before eventually relocating due to the political situation in her country.
Waleska has lived in Puerto Vallarta since 2016, and the city has become both a creative haven and a home. She credits Vallarta’s supportive yet discerning audiences with helping her grow as an artist. “They make us give 1000%,” she says. “But when they love your performance, they show it with so much warmth and appreciation.”
Today, Waleska is best known for her powerful Madonna tribute show, which captures the spirit of the Queen of Pop and channels the energy of the ’80s for a new generation of fans. Though she was born in the late ’80s and didn’t grow up with Madonna’s golden era, portraying her on stage has been transformational. “This show has changed me a lot. Madonna is a complete artist—confident, fearless, and constantly reinventing herself. Portraying her pushes me to be better every day.”
Waleska’s personal favorites from Madonna’s catalog include “Express Yourself” and “Papa Don’t Preach”—songs that not only energize her but also resonate with her own life story. She says the tribute is about more than just music; it’s about giving audiences a moment to escape, to dance, to feel nostalgic, and to reconnect with an iconic time in pop history.
In addition to her Madonna show, she continues to perform as a dancer with Stargirls and Meraky Productions and is a passionate interpreter of pop, pop-rock, and Latin music. Whether she’s front and center with a mic or lighting up the stage with choreography, Waleska brings heart, energy, and authenticity to every performance.
