Statement from Vallarta School for Girls:

Due to the recent events in Puerto Vallarta, the Vallarta School for Girls is saddened to announce the cancellation of our Black and White Gala scheduled for March 2, 2026 at Sayan Tropical Condominiums.

After thoughtful consideration, the school’s leadership and event organizers agreed that the safety and well-being of our community must come first. While we had planned to gather 200 generous supporters for a beautiful evening of celebration and purpose, this is simply not the right time to come together in this way.

Our focus now is on supporting one another and ensuring that residents and visitors alike continue to feel safe and secure. Puerto Vallarta is a city defined by kindness, resilience, warmth, and strength. We are confident that, together, our community will move forward and emerge even stronger. The mission of the Vallarta School for Girls—to educate and empower bright, hardworking young women—remains an important part of that future.

As you know, the gala was completely sold out. We will absolutely honor refund requests for any guest who prefers one. However, we humbly and sincerely ask you to consider allowing your ticket purchase to remain with the school as a donation. Your generosity will directly support our students and help sustain critical programs. Please note that ticket donations are eligible for tax deductions in Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

If you would like to request a refund, please send your name, email address, phone number, and number of tickets purchased to admin@girlsedfund.org.

The Black and White Gala is our single largest fundraiser of the year. Its cancellation leaves a significant gap in our operating budget — funding that directly supports tuition assistance, educational programming, and the daily resources our students rely on. Our board and management team will be working diligently to identify alternative funding sources in the weeks ahead.

We are profoundly grateful for your understanding, your compassion, and your continued belief in the power of education to transform lives. Together, we will continue building a stronger Puerto Vallarta and a brighter future for the young women we serve.

The stunning oceanfront venue is perfect for an evening of incredible live entertainment, a gourmet buffet dinner, dancing under the stars, a full open bar all night long, a silent auction, and more surprises!

The evening, hosted by Kevin Anthony, includes headliners, Diego Guerrero + Los Martinis, Kim Kuzma, Effie, Alison Lo, and Kim Archer
