Artist Spotlight: Alberto Ponce

Alberto Ponce was born in 1990, in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico. Inspired from an early age by his mother, a singer who instilled in him a deep love for the arts, Alberto began singing at the age of 15. His passion quickly expanded to include acting and dance, leading him to pursue formal studies in acting and dance in Mexico City.

Alberto’s artistic journey began in his hometown, where he performed in school festivals and civic events. After completing high school, he moved to Mexico City to further his training and soon began working in theater and musical theater on some of the city’s most prominent stages. He later expanded into television, appearing in Televisa San Ángel productions as both an extra and in small acting roles.

His career eventually brought him to Puerto Vallarta, where he became known for his performances in major hotel productions, as well as his tribute shows to Luis Miguel and Ricky Martin at The Palm and Act2PV. He has also entertained audiences with versatile sets of oldies and ranchero music at La Catrina Cantina.

Beyond the stage, Alberto enjoys writing, cooking, and dancing. He has released original music, including his song Volver Atrás.
