Artist Spotlight: Evita Loca

Evita Loca is a New York City-based, live-singing drag queen with a Broadway pedigree, a big mouth, and an even bigger voice. Renowned for her razor-sharp impressions of musical-theatre divas, she dazzles audiences with powerhouse vocals, quick wit, and enough stage presence to light up Times Square. A true theatre kid at heart, Evita stepped into the spotlight early—landing her first major musical at age 12. She always knew performing was her destiny. Drag, however, found her later: during the pandemic, when the world shut down, Evita opened up. Seeking a creative outlet, she launched 54 online shows, discovering a new way to connect, create, and belt her face off.

Evita’s professional journey has taken her everywhere—from treading the boards on Broadway in hits like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical to hosting Musical Mondays at Rise Bar in NYC. But drag has carried her even farther, transporting her across the globe aboard cruise ships and stages in Iceland, Turkey, Italy, Greece, and beyond. She considers performing on Broadway—twice—one of her most meaningful milestones, a testament to years of persistence and hustle.

Every year, Evita returns to Puerto Vallarta, drawn by its warm, vibrant community (and the weather doesn’t hurt). She finds endless inspiration in the queens of The Palm Cabaret & Bar and Coco Cabaret, whose artistry elevates the bar night after night. PV has become a place where she feels deeply connected—creatively, communally, and fabulously.
