La BiB Open House
La BiB, Puerto Vallarta’s Bilingual Children’s Library, invites residents and seasonal visitors to a special Open House on Friday, March 20 from 4–7 PM, welcoming the community to tour the space, learn about its growing programs, and support its next phase of development.
Founded to increase access to books and bilingual learning opportunities for local families, La BiB has grown rapidly thanks to the generosity of volunteers, donors, and visitors. In just a few short months at its Bobadilla location, the library has expanded its reach to serve more families, offering books in English, Spanish, and bilingual editions, as well as programs that promote literacy, creativity, and language learning for children.
The March 20 Open House invites guests to experience the library firsthand while contributing to several important needs as La BiB prepares for the summer months, when families rely on accessible community spaces for learning and enrichment.
Funds raised by donation and silent auction will support:
🫶 Air conditioning units and ceiling fans to create a cool, welcoming environment and make the library an obvious stop for families during the summer months, ensuring children can continue reading, learning, and gathering comfortably.
🫶 Summer Reading Program supplies to help spark excitement and participation among young readers.
🫶 Additional seating and classroom furnishings, including chairs, stools, and tables, to accommodate full classes and expand programming.
Guests are encouraged to drop in anytime between 4–7 PM to tour the library, meet volunteers, and learn more about how La BiB serves families in Puerto Vallarta. Light refreshments will be provided.
Community members are also invited to sign up for volunteer opportunities, either immediately or for the upcoming season, as the organization continues to grow its team and expand its offerings.
“All are invited to see the space, support our needs and growth, and become part of the first chapter of La BiB,” organizers shared. “You really have to experience the library to feel the magic that this community is building together.”
Those unable to attend can still support La BiB through one-time or monthly donations.
