Artist Spotlight: Sol Reyes 🎤

Sol Reyes, born in Bogotá, Colombia, began her artistic journey at the young age of 7, dancing and singing to the vibrant rhythms of Colombian folk music such as Cumbia, Salsa, and Joropo. Her early years were filled with performances at festivals across Colombia, where she competed in singing and dance contests. As a former queen of multiple beauty and talent pageants, Sol proudly represented the traditions of the “Llanos Orientales,” performing folkloric displays where she not only sang and danced but also played instruments like the harp, cuatro, and maracas.

With art running deep in her veins, inspired by her grandmother, a singer and accordion player, Sol pursued her passion by studying vocal technique and performance. She honed her skills at the prestigious Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá, performing with the Folkloric Ensemble and the Latin Orchestra.

Sol’s lifelong passion for regional Mexican music—especially Ranchera—led her to Mexico, where she made Puerto Vallarta her home. In 2023, she won the “La Voz Vallarta” singing competition, launching her artistic career in the country.

Since then, Sol has continued to evolve as a performer. She delivers dynamic, customizable Latin music shows at private events alongside her pianist, and in December 2025 she joined the Big Band Jazz & Swing Concert, performing with a 19-piece orchestra and fellow vocalists in rich harmony—a production celebrated for its nostalgic charm, joyful energy, and breathtaking talent. Known for her versatility and fiery Latina spirit, she embraces every new challenge with passion and creativity.
