Artist Spotlight: Enel Ram 🎨 🎤 🎭

Enel Ram is a self-taught painter, singer, and makeup artist with a dynamic artistic career spanning over a decade. Originally from León, Guanajuato, Mexico, she moved to Puerto Vallarta in 2022 to further develop her craft. For the past eight years, she has worked as a makeup artist, and for the last ten, she has been honing her vocal talents. In the past six years, she has cultivated a distinctive painting style that revolves around the deconstruction of fractal patterns.

Enel’s art merges realism, abstraction, landscaping, and surrealism through the careful study of patterns and symbolism, creating works that invite her audience to engage through both visual and auditory senses. Her goal is to transmit deep messages to her viewers, ensuring that every detail connects with the public in an honest and meaningful way.

As a performer, Enel’s career began at a young age. She first appeared on stage as a five-year-old gymnastics student and performed as a chorus girl at nine. In 2014, she had her first professional role in the opera “Tosca,” directed by Marco Boemi and Enrique Singer, as both a chorister and actress.

Enel’s artistic influences range from Björk and Silvana Estrada to Bobby McFerrin and David Bowie. She has studied with notable figures such as Spanish theater director Xavier Ribes and Mexican opera singer Yolanda Cabrera, who has collaborated with Maná and Plácido Domingo.

Enel has exhibited her artwork at Corsica Art Gallery and performed in Vacare at Act2PV Theater. She was also a finalist in the So You Think You Can RISE competition, showcasing her versatile talents in both visual and performing arts. Currently, she performs at several venues in Puerto Vallarta, including Plataforma 324, La Gata Foro Bar, and Casa Karma.
