Artist Spotlight: Armando Chakám

Born in Guadalajara and raised in Colima, Armando Chakám discovered his passion for music at just seven years old. He honed his talent through musical theater groups and workshops before moving to Puerto Vallarta in 2018.

A graduate in Communications, Armando has balanced a successful career in radio—serving as Production and Programming Coordinator for more than a decade—with his dedication to singing. His talent has taken him to national and international stages, including La Academia 2018, where he placed among the top five to represent Vallarta in Mexico City, and the Karaoke World Championships, where he won the Jalisco state final in 2023.

Formerly a member of the acclaimed trio The Three Tenors Vallarta, Armando is now part of The Golden Tenors, continuing to showcase his versatility across genres. He recently debuted as a solo artist with a Michael Bublé tribute in “big band show” style at The Palm Cabaret, followed by a heartfelt tribute to Alejandro Fernández at La Catrina Cantina in 2025.

Looking ahead, Armando will bring his Michael Bublé tribute to Luna Lounge in Bucerías in January 2026, further cementing his place as one of Vallarta’s most dynamic and captivating voices.
