Delilah Beaucoup Returns with Electrifying Annie Lennox/Eurythmics Experience
Puerto Vallarta will once again ring with the unmistakable pulse of synth-driven anthems this January as Delilah Beaucoup brings back her acclaimed musical tribute, Sweet Dreams: Annie Lennox/Eurythmics Experience, for a highly anticipated second season at Coco Cabaret. After a highly acclaimed first run that packed the house for two sold-out performances, the show returns on January 2 with renewed energy, refined artistry, and a deeper emotional connection to the music that inspired it.
A Legacy That Redefined Pop Music
For Delilah, the journey of Sweet Dreams began decades ago, long before she stepped onto the stage at Coco Cabaret. Annie Lennox’s influence first struck her as a teenager, shaping both her musical sensibilities and her understanding of performance, identity, and artistic courage.
Lennox’s androgynous aesthetic, emotional depth, and bold experimentation made her a singular force in 1980s pop culture. Alongside collaborator Dave Stewart, she helped craft an era of genre-blending hits that fused new wave, rock, soul, and electronic innovation.
The Eurythmics’ catalog remains a cornerstone of popular music, filled with tracks that transcend generations. Songs like “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “Here Comes the Rain Again,” “Missionary Man,” and “Love Is a Stranger,” continue to resonate not only for their hooks but for their lyrical introspection and sonic ambition.

A Season Shaped by Growth and Confidence
Delilah has carried the influence of Lennox and the Eurythmics with her for more than 20 years, but it wasn’t until last season that she had the opportunity to bring this tribute to life in the way she had always imagined. That debut run became both a dream realized and a powerful learning experience.
“Confidence is what I’m bringing into this new season,” she reflects. “Last year came with so many firsts. It was my first time producing a show of this scale at Coco Cabaret. I felt like the new kid wanting to make a strong impression. I had to develop nerves of steel.”
The Transformative Power of Collaboration
Working with director Jordon Carnegie was a turning point. For an artist long accustomed to self-directing, handing over creative control required trust and vulnerability.
“Jordon kept having to remind me, ‘No, Delilah, that’s my job as the director.’ It was a whole new world for me. But working with him has been incredible. He’s so professional, and I’ve grown tremendously as both an artist and producer because of him. I could not have done this show without his expertise.”
She also credits the full creative team—choreographers Edgar Roman and Luiger Paez, musical director Diego Guerrero, costume consultant Crist Thomas, and lighting and sound designer Carlos—for shaping the show into the polished experience it has become.
Finding Her Own Voice in Annie’s Music
Vocally, this season represents a meaningful shift. Lennox’s voice is famously powerful and wide-ranged, and during early rehearsals in the first season, Delilah sometimes pushed herself to match it note for note. Over time, she realized her power lay in interpreting the music authentically rather than imitating it.
“I’m taking more risks now,” she says. “I dropped the keys on some songs so I could sing them in my own range and feel the power of the music from within. I’m vocally stronger this season, and I feel like I’m singing these songs through my own experiences. That’s when the magic happens.”
Interpreting the Eurythmics’ catalog is a challenge in itself. Their pioneering use of synthesizers, atmospheric pads, and layered harmonies created a unique soundscape that still feels modern today. Lennox’s lyrics—often exploring vulnerability, resilience, and self-definition—align deeply with Delilah’s own artistic journey.
“Annie’s songs are profoundly personal,” she says. “They touch basic human emotions and collective experiences we all share. That’s part of why she continues to be so beloved.”
New Twists for a New Season
Sweet Dreams returns this year with subtle refinements and surprises. While Delilah keeps most details secret, she hints at fresh additions.
“We have a very tight show, and of course I can’t reveal all my secrets,” she laughs. “But we’ve been tweaking it over the summer. You might hear new songs, and there will be some very intricate harmonies. It’s exciting. But shhh…”
Returning audience members can expect the same electrifying combination of vocals, choreography, visuals, and emotional storytelling—but now elevated with a season’s worth of growth and artistic maturity.

A Living, Evolving Artistic Journey
In many ways, this new season represents both a continuation and an expansion of what Sweet Dreams set out to achieve. Delilah describes the production as a living, breathing work of art—one that grows with each performance and adapts as she deepens her understanding of Lennox’s legacy, her own voice, and the emotional landscape that connects them. Each season, she explains, offers new insights into the music and into her own creative instincts, allowing the show to evolve organically without losing its core identity.
A Theatrical Experience Built by Experts
Sweet Dreams is a true theatrical concert, blending live vocals with dramatic staging and a carefully crafted aesthetic. Delilah considers the show a multimedia experience rather than a standard tribute.
“This show has lived in my mind for two decades,” she explains. “When Jordon and I collaborate, we flesh out the ideas piece by piece. He has taken my vision and exploded it into a mind-blowing spectacle. Every member of our team elevates the emotion in the music.”
A Venue Designed for Spectacle
Coco Cabaret, one of Puerto Vallarta’s premier entertainment venues, is once again the home of Sweet Dreams. Its advanced lighting and sound systems, soaring ceilings, LED screens, and mezzanine seating make it ideal for immersive and visually dynamic performances. The venue provides the perfect balance of intimacy and scale—exactly what Delilah envisioned for this tribute.
A Season Fueled by Gratitude and Purpose
Above all, Delilah approaches the second season with immense gratitude.
“I am overwhelmed by the audience’s belief in me,” she says. “The support of our sponsors and the people who come to the show means everything. This is the role I’ve wanted to play for 20 years.”
Her hope is that every audience member leaves with a renewed sense of connection and optimism. “Even in dark times, there is joy, community, love, and light. I want the show to remind people of that.”
A Tribute That Honors the Past While Celebrating the Present
As Sweet Dreams prepares to launch its second season at Coco Cabaret on January 2, it brings with it not only the beloved music of Annie Lennox and the Eurythmics but also the artistic evolution of a performer determined to honor her muse with heart, intention, and originality. With a revitalized voice, a seasoned creative team, and a vision sharpened through experience, Delilah Beaucoup is ready to take audiences back into the world of one of pop music’s most iconic eras—with a tribute that feels as fresh as it is nostalgic.
