Artist Spotlight: Bobbi Goddard 🎤 ðŸŽ
Bobbi Goddard is a Canadian-born singer, actor, educator, and ambassador of country music. She has called Puerto Vallarta home for the past five years, driven by her love for travel, Mexico, and her search for the perfect shrimp burrito.
With a background in classical acting, Bobbi never imagined that her longest-running role would be as a singer in Vallarta’s live music scene. Four years ago, she formed her band, Bobbi & The Others (BATO), blending country with a touch of rock ‘n’ roll. Since then, she has embraced the mission of spreading the gospel of country music—the genre “everyone loves to hate.”
Believing it’s the performer, not the genre, that matters most, Bobbi brought her solo show Queens of Country to Act2PV Theatre. Now in its fourth season, the show continues to evolve, combining country music with a side of comedy. While the music pays tribute to the classics, Bobbi’s performance is anything but traditional. Known for her trucker-like vocabulary, she teases her audience mercilessly and leaves no topic untouched. Season four will debut later this year, promising new song selections and unexpected onstage surprises.
When Bobbi is not performing with her full band, you can often find her alongside her partner and guitarist, Rolando. After two successful Canadian tours in 2022 and 2023, the duo wrapped up their No Name 2024 Tour in Alberta and are now back in Puerto Vallarta, performing together in the barrio this fall.
