Artist Spotlight: Brenda Gaviño

Brenda Gaviño is a versatile singer, musician, and performer with more than 20 years of experience. Born in Guadalajara, she began her musical journey at an early age. Trained in Bel Canto and classical singing, and an internationalist by profession, Brenda masterfully performs across a wide range of genres, including opera, rock, metal, Mexican music, jazz, and Broadway.

For seven years, Brenda fronted the original metal band El Cuervo de Poe, a standout in Mexico and Latin America’s metal scene. She later headlined Rhythms of the Night, Puerto Vallarta’s largest stage production. Following a successful audition in Naples, Italy, she was selected as an artist with Cirque du Soleil.

In 2022, Brenda represented Mexico in Oslo, Norway, at the Karaoke World Championships, finishing as runner-up. She then toured Canada in 2023–2024 with the Puerto Vallarta girl-band Las Mambas, performing more than 50 shows as their lead singer. For five years, she was a featured performer at Act2PV Theater, appearing in productions such as The Best of Broadway, Follies La Rouge, and Supreme, while also producing and directing her own live music shows. These included tributes to Linda Ronstadt and Amy Winehouse, as well as original productions such as Canciones de mi Padre, Opera, and From Paris to Broadway.

With over a decade in Puerto Vallarta’s entertainment scene—spanning resorts, theaters, cabarets, circuses, and local venues—Brenda continues to grow as a dynamic, ever-evolving artist.
