Artist Spotlight: Eva Jiménez 🎤 💃

Eva Jiménez was born into a family of artists in Puebla City, Mexico, where her passion for music emerged at an early age. Her musical journey began with formal training at a local music school, followed by various projects during her teenage years. In 2015, Eva and her brother launched an original music project that culminated in the recording of their debut EP in Switzerland. They toured the country, playing in cities like Bern and Zurich, sharing their unique sound with European audiences.

After moving abroad and taking a hiatus from music, Eva returned to Mexico, eventually settling in Puerto Vallarta in 2020. The vibrant local music scene reignited her passion for performing, and she quickly immersed herself in the array of opportunities the town had to offer. Eva’s musical influences range from Avril Lavigne, who inspired her to pick up the guitar, to bands and artists like No Doubt, Paramore, Alicia Keys, P!nk, Lianne La Havas, and Sophie Hunger.

Eva’s professional debut was as the lead guitarist in a Kings of Leon tribute show, which toured five cities in central Mexico from 2017 to 2018, including Mexico City, Veracruz, and Toluca. In 2023, she co-produced and performed in 80s pop show Face to Face at Incanto alongside her brother, Mau, and joined Chris Lopez’s Sam Smith tribute show at The Palm as a backing vocalist.

Currently, Eva stars in her own tribute show, P!nk – Get the Party Started!, where she channels the energy and dynamism of the iconic pop-rock star. Her journey reflects her evolution as a versatile musician, continuously exploring new avenues to express her artistic voice.
