Cacao and Chocolate Festival

🍫🌿 Puerto Vallarta is getting ready to celebrate the 4th annual Festival del Cacao y Chocolate on April 10 and 11 at Isla del Río Cuale!

This free two-day festival invites locals and visitors to explore the rich history, traditions, and cultural importance of cacao in Mexico through a delicious mix of education, art, and gastronomy.

From 10:00 am to 9:00 pm each day, enjoy:
✨ Food and beverage tastings
✨ Chocolate and cacao workshops
✨ Lectures on cacao’s history and cultural roots
✨ A marketplace featuring artisanal chocolates, cosmetics, and handmade products

🍬 Special hands-on experiences — including artisanal chocolate-making workshops and guided tastings — will also be available with advance registration through the festival’s official website.

Around 20 producers and artisans, including participants from neighboring Nayarit, will be part of this year’s celebration.

🎨 Education is also a key part of the festival, with local elementary students participating in a cacao tree drawing contest. Selected artwork will be displayed during the event, adding a creative community touch to the festivities.
