Farewell (But Not Goodbye!) to Joan Houston
After years of laughter, music, and unforgettable moments, we invite you to join us for a joyful celebration of Joan Houston’s final regular performance with pianist Bob Bruneau. It’s not the end for her—just the closing of a beautiful chapter.
As a very popular musical duo in Vallarta, Joan and Bob brought to life the golden age of music, weaving their way through beloved standards from the 1930s, ’40s, and ’50s, along with a few newer surprises along the way. Joan’s rich, soulful vocals and Bob’s masterful touch at the piano, made every show feel like a cozy evening among old friends—full of heart, humor, and timeless tunes.
Part musical act, part comedy duo—reminiscent of Sonny & Cher or Burns & Allen—they created a special kind of magic that will live on in the hearts of their audience.
Though the weekly shows are coming to a close, Joan isn’t going far. She’ll return for special events and will continue to share the stage now and then with other wonderful musicians. But for now, come help us celebrate the end of this era with one last evening of Bob & Joan’s melody, memories, and joy.
