**********
Sergio Fuentes presents “Favola in Musica” an intimate, multidisciplinary concert that dismantles the conventional notion of a classical recital, reimagining it as an emotional sonic ritual. Through the cello, spoken word, silence, warm lighting, natural aromas, and sensitive collaborations, Favola in Musica opens a gateway to the unseen territories of the soul: what shatters, what burns, what transforms.
With special guests Ruben Real (harpischord) and Carolyn Velazquez (violin), each piece transcends mere performance, becoming an unsent letter, an inner scene, a contained vibration. It weaves together baroque music (Bach, Marais, Vivaldi) with contemporary textures, emotional improvisation, and reinterpreted cult pop or rock themes.
Sergio Adrián Fuentes Alejo is a Mexican cellist, choral conductor, and cultural project designer trained at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música and Universidad Veracruzana. He has performed at the Early Music Festival in Daroca, Spain, as well as the Early Music Festival of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, further deepening his approach to historically informed performance. He has also actively participated in contemporary music ensembles, with performances at Mexico City’s renowned Festival Internacional de Música Nueva “Manuel Enríquez,” showcasing a versatile engagement with both classical and experimental repertoires.
In addition to founding Vallarta Wedding Music, Sergio coordinated the ECOS Choir Program under the Jalisco Secretary of Culture and directed the Puerto Vallarta Gay Men’s Chorus, pioneering inclusive and emotionally resonant musical spaces. His artistic vision centers on creating concerts as intimate rituals, where music becomes a tool for connection, reflection, and
transformation.
