VIH y un Beso (HIV and a Kiss)
A Play in Spanish by Edgar Treviño
A kiss can change everything.
Join us as we relive a story marked by love, memory, and the struggle of a time when being different meant risking it all. HIV and a Kiss, a Spanish-language play by Edgar Treviño, comes to the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center to remind us that resilience, affection, and friendship have always been our greatest strength.
Synopsis
In the 1980s, the first cases of AIDS appeared. Ignorance and intolerance spread throughout society. Homosexuals were stigmatized simply for being different—stoned, insulted, and even killed. The Church closed its doors to the community, and hospitals denied them care.
