Mental Health Race
Puerto Vallarta will host its first-ever Mental Health Race on Sunday, October 12, at the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Complex (Municipal Stadium). Beginning at 6:30 a.m., the event welcomes families and individuals to join a 5-kilometer run designed to raise awareness about anxiety, self-care, and mental well-being.
Organized by Sanamente Atención Psiquiátrica and supported by the Gobierno del Bien through COMUDE Vallarta, the race promotes participation over competition.
The morning begins with a free yoga class, followed by the 5K run at 7:30 a.m. Afterward, attendees can enjoy Muay Thai demonstrations, a group salsa class, and a Health Fair featuring 21 booths dedicated to mental wellness and preventive care.
Registration is 350 pesos per person or 300 pesos each for groups of five or more. The fee includes a commemorative t-shirt, medal, hydration, and access to all post-race activities.
