Mexico Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day festivities include ceremony at 8:30 a.m. at the Municipal Presidency, followed by the traditional Grito at 11:00 p.m. from the General Secretariat balcony (on Morelos Street near the Malecón).

The Vallarta Institute of Culture has planned a festival on September 15th, starting at 6:00 p.m. on the Malecón, in front of the Municipal Presidency.

For the 2024 Independence Day celebrations, performances will include:

Xiutla Folklore Group, directed by Professor Enrique Barrios

Queens from Ixtapa, El Pitillal, Las Juntas, and Las Palmas
