Queens of the Blue Note

Queens of the Blue Note pays homage to the unforgettable voices of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Dinah Washington, Etta James, and Amy Winehouse — the trailblazing women who shaped jazz, blues, and soul.

This powerhouse tribute is performed by Brenda Gaviño, a versatile Guadalajara-born singer and musician with over 20 years of experience. Trained in Bel Canto and classical singing, Brenda moves effortlessly through genres from opera and Broadway to jazz, rock, and Mexican music.

Her impressive career includes fronting the acclaimed metal band El Cuervo de Poe, starring in Puerto Vallarta’s Rhythms of the Night, performing with Cirque du Soleil, and representing Mexico as runner-up in the Karaoke World Championships in Oslo. She’s also toured Canada with Las Mambas.

Now, Brenda brings her signature power and emotion to Queens of the Blue Note — an evening of soul-stirring music that celebrates the timeless artistry and spirit of the women who defined a generation of sound.
