Artist Spotlight: Isabel Zuleta 🎤 🎹
Isabel Zuleta is a talented singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Colombia and now residing in Mexico, where she has built a dynamic career in music. With a foundation in classical piano and vocal training both in and outside of formal education, Isabel eventually discovered her passion for a broader range of musical expressions.
Isabel has contributed to and co-founded various musical projects in Mexico, navigating genres such as Latin American folk, reggae, and jazz. In December 2017, Isabel released her debut EP, Abrazando el Caos (“Embracing Chaos”), a polished production by Hans Mues. The album features notable collaborations, including Grammy Award-winning drummer Antonio Sanchez on the track “Play the Game.” Her music is available on all major streaming platforms.
Since 2019, Isabel has been based in Puerto Vallarta, where she co-founded the eclectic Latin duo Xochiquetzal with guitarist Jacob Ordoñez. Together, they perform at local venues and private events, captivating audiences with their unique blend of styles.
Isabel’s career also includes working as a pianist for Panamanian singer Diana Villamonte in the Diana Ross tribute show at Act2PV Theater and as a performer, musician, and vocalist in Rhythms of the Night, one of Puerto Vallarta’s premier entertainment experiences.
Passionate about teaching, Isabel has cultivated this vocation in Puerto Vallarta and is currently participating in an online workshop in musical psychopedagogy. An eternal learner, she recently studied under David Sabella in a vocal workshop at Act2PV Theater.
Isabel is a key collaborator with Gloria Live Music Productions, contributing as a pianist in the Adele tribute show and working on exciting new projects that are set to be unveiled soon.
