Artist Spotlight: Jordon Carnegie 🎭 🎤

Jordon Carnegie is a two-time Broadway World nominee for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, recognized for his standout performances in The Rocky Horror Show and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. With nearly 25 years in the industry, Jordon has made his mark as an actor, singer, director, producer, and designer. Originally from Michigan, Jordon and his husband, Richard, relocated to Puerto Vallarta from Chicago just over three years ago.

After taking a lengthy break from performing to focus on his career as a hair colorist, stylist, and educator, Jordon was initially nervous about returning to the stage in Puerto Vallarta. However, once he did, he was met with an outpouring of support. His first performance in Puerto Vallarta was alongside Richard in Kim Larue’s bawdy revue “Reveal” at Act2 PV. Shortly after, he launched his solo career with two successful shows at Incanto: My Life in Songs and Sincerely, Love. It was during this time that Jordon met Derek Carkner, sparking a beautiful partnership and friendship.

Following his success at Incanto, Jordon created his show Elvis: It’s Now or Never, which received rave reviews at The Palm Cabaret and later toured to Palm Springs, Grand Rapids, and Boca Raton. Most recently, Jordon brought the Mexican debut of the rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch to Puerto Vallarta, where it was met with great acclaim. The show is set to return for a six-month run starting December 1st, with performances every Sunday at 9 pm at The Palm Cabaret.

“I am eternally grateful for the opportunities I have been given here in Puerto Vallarta, and I cannot wait to share more of what I’m working on for the future,” says Jordon.
