Kimberly G, a gifted singer now thriving in Puerto Vallarta, was born in Michigan but spent the majority of her life in the vibrant landscapes of Nevada. Her musical journey is deeply rooted in a love for jazz standards, enriched with a touch of country flair. Kimberly’s performances are known for their upbeat energy, seamlessly blending classical influences with her modern style. This unique combination allows her to connect with a diverse audience, whether she’s singing in the intimate setting of Rico Indian restaurant or leading the congregation as a cantor at the Cathedral Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Her role at the Cathedral, where she sings for the Saturday English Mass and Sunday Bilingual Mass, highlights her versatility and deep connection to her community.

Beyond her singing, Kimberly is a talented flutist and an avid poet, using these creative outlets to further express her passion for the arts. Her musical style and approach are heavily influenced by iconic singers such as Deanna Durbin, Gladys Knight, and Patsy Cline, whose voices have shaped her own.

Kimberly’s musical roots run deep, nurtured by her mother, a concert pianist who continues to play, and her grandmother, who first taught her how to sing. These strong familial influences provided Kimberly with a rich musical foundation, and she has carried these early lessons with her throughout her life. She recalls, with fondness, being backstage at Kool & the Gang concerts, meeting legends like Stevie Wonder, and being captivated by the performances of Stevie Nicks. These formative experiences were accompanied by the vivid memories of her mother teaching neighborhood children the traditional Mexican dance, Jarabe Tapatío, at large family gatherings.

From these diverse and profound musical experiences, Kimberly has cultivated a deep and abiding love for all types of music. It has been more than a passion; it is an intrinsic part of her identity, shaping her journey as a singer and musician. Today, she continues to share that passion with others, whether through her performances, her role in the church, or her creative pursuits in poetry and flute.
