Artist Spotlight: Mauricio Andrade šŸŽ šŸŽ¹

Mauricio Andrade has crafted a remarkable journey as a magician, musician, and entrepreneur. Growing up in Mexico City for seven years before moving to Veracruz for 14, Mauricio’s early life was shaped by his love for music and magic. He plays five instrumentsā€”guitar, bass, piano, drums, and violinā€”but his true passion lies with the drums. Mauricio is also known for his talent in listening to people, often encouraged by friends to become a motivational speaker.

Although Mauricio initially pursued a degree in Energy and Sustainable Development Engineering, his path changed when he left university during his second year to pursue a career in magic, a decision influenced by local magicians Alfonso Coyotzi and Abraham Aragon. His professional inspirations include Dani DaOrtiz and Asi Wind, two of the most renowned magicians in the world. Mauricio’s expertise led him to perform as a resident magician for Applebee’s Mexico City and Grupo Alsea, entertaining at establishments like Chili’s and P.F. Chang’s, as well as for corporate giants such as VW, Coca-Cola, and Santander Bank.

Mauricio has also been involved in high-profile productions, such as “Vallarta Adventures,” where he performed as the opening act for “Rhythms of the Night.” He now serves as a resident magician for vacation villas in Punta Mita, where he has dazzled audiences, including celebrities like Saul “Canelo” Ɓlvarez, Patrick Mahomes, and Doug Sanders. Upcoming performances include notable events like the “No Golf No Life” tournament in Guadalajara and the PGA Mexico Seniors Open in Punta Mita.

A devoted family man, Mauricio lives in Puerto Vallarta with his two daughters, with a third child on the way. In addition to magic, he runs a professional poker agency and an event design studio, dreaming of one day becoming a professional poker player and making Puerto Vallarta his lifelong home.
