Artist Spotlight: Selena Luna đźŽ
Selena Luna is a writer and producer who launched Moonshine Bright Entertainment in 2022 after moving to Puerto Vallarta from Canada. With a background as an agent in the Canadian film and television industry, Selena brings her talent for recognizing emerging talent to the Vallarta entertainment scene.
Selena has created shows with the city’s top venues: introducing sing-along movie nights at the beloved Incanto, writing and producing original musicals for Act2PV Theater and Moonlight Theatre, and partnering on The Dark Side of Oz at Nacho Daddy. She has also produced and promoted exciting events at La Catrina Cantina and showcased imported American Idol talent at The Palm Cabaret & Bar.
Her other passion project under the House of Luna is Moonlight Theatre. As the Artistic Director for Moonlight Theatre, which began inside Arte Vallarta Gallery, Selena has collaborated with some of the top talents in the PV live entertainment community, including Diana Villamonte, Azafrán, Patriz, Alejandro Balderas, Gloria Fiona, and Kevin Anthony II.
This November will mark Moonlight Theatre’s new season as a “gypsy” boutique theatre, featuring pop-up shows at various venues. Stay tuned for their first show of the season, the return of Selena Luna’s critically acclaimed The Unauthorized Christina Aguilera Story, an unplugged jukebox musical starring Kevin Anthony II, Patriz, and Ruly Idar Mayorga on piano.
