The Vallarta Botanical Garden is a 130-hectare nature preserve and award-winning Botanical Garden. Founded in 2005, our garden is the perfect place to experience the amazing plants and wildlife of Mexico in a world-class setting. In addition to collections of native plants, cacti and orchids, experience dining in true Mexican style at the famous Hacienda de Oro Restaurant.
The Garden is also a hot spot for birdwatching, with over 230 different species documented here. Expect to see hummingbirds, yellow-winged caciques and, if you’re lucky, the emblematic military macaw! A variety of hiking trails and swimming in the crystalline Los Horcones River make for an unforgettable experience.
Vallarta Botanical Garden is the winner of the American Public Gardens Association’s 2022 Garden of Excellence Award, the very first time that a Botanical Garden outside of the USA has won this prestigious award. Come see for yourself what makes this natural paradise such a special and awe-inspiring place. We look forward to meeting you.
